FAQs
Does Steve do Commissions?
Steve is currently not taking commissions. He does do commissions at public appearances:
- Store Appearance: $40/figure
- Conventions: $100/figure
- Watercolor (if he’s doing it) $500
Generally, we’ll take a list of 5 names per day. New list each day, but if he doesn’t finish the list from the day before he will carry it over to the next day. Everyone is given a receipt and if he doesn’t finish your sketch before you have to leave we will mail it for free (even if you are outside the US).
Steve does bring 11×14 bristol to the shows, but will use your own paper or sketchbook on request.
When will Nexus 101 & 102 come out?
Nexus 101 is completed and Nexus 102 is on the drawing board. When we had to cancel both of the books for a second time early in 2008 we decided to take a step back and reorganize how we were doing books. From now on, we will not be soliciting any books until they are already completed. That pretty much guarantees that they will come out on time.
We anticipate Nexus 102 to be completed early October. If that is the case then we can give solicitation information to Diamond in October for December previews for a February 2009 release date. We will be re-releasing Nexus 99 and 100 also so all 4 books can be released as a weekly series.
The Nexus archives are so expensive. Will they ever be reprinted as a softcover?
Dark Horse Comics has the reprint rights to the early Nexus issues. Currently, they are having to transfer everything from film to digital files for the archive books which is very costly. They have given us permission to reprint in softcover once the archive edition has sold out.
Will there be more Nexus Archives?
Dark Horse has plans to continue through the entire series as long as the book stays profitable.
Will the Moth ever return?
The Moth will return in 2008 beginnning with Free Comic Book Day (FCBD) May of 2008. Because of the long delay completing the Nexus: Space Opera series, the new Moth issues will be out in 2009. We won’t have a date until the entire series is completed.
